Just Wondering What Others’ Experiences When They Moved With Their Kitty-cat? “Mandy and I on the Move”

Pete Earthlé, IdeasNConversations @IdeasN

I come across of the post about Mandy and I on the Move, so I thought I will ask some questions from others who may have experienced relocating with their lovely cat/s.

We’ve moved to a new location. Moving in day was a bit stressful for Mandy since I was everywhere so she found a place to sleep and escape the commotion on the upper closet shelf in the bedroom. The full moon lit the night so brightly and the rainbow aura around the moon was irresistible. […]

#London Celebrates 2017 Pride “LGBT+ are the antidote to the sadness”, said Mayor Sadiq Khan

Pete Earthlé, IdeasNConversations @IdeasN

On Saturday (London Time), thousands of people will celebrate the 2017 Pride Parade in London. Wishing everyone with great fun and enjoyments. Happy Pride to the entire community of LGBT+

For anyone who plans to see the parade, please scroll down to see the path where the parade will take place.

The 2017 London Pride Celebrations also marked the 50th year since the Sexual Offences Act 1967, which decriminalised homosexuality in England and Wales.

“It was in the Houses of Parliament that homosexuality was decriminalised, equal consent laws were introduced, the bigoted Section 28 was repealed, where civil partnership and ultimately equal marriage were adopted.

“This powerful institution, right at the heart of British democracy, has become a powerful tool for equality in recent times.

“The rainbow flag flying above serves as a testament to this legacy and a reflection of how far we have come as a community – with more LGBT+ politicians than any other country in the world.” – said David Geary, head of political engagement for Pride In London (credit source: telegraph.co.uk)

He therefore called it ‘tuka’ which is ‘peacock’ in Tamil, and Indian language.

The Native American name for turkey is ‘firkee’; some say this is how turkeys got their name. Simple facts, however, sometimes produce the best answers-when a turkey is scared, it makes a “turk, turk, turk” noise.

10 Turkey Facts You May Not Know

  1. At one time, the turkey and the bald eagle were each considered as the national symbol of America. Benjamin Franklin was one of those who argues passionately on behalf of the turkey. Franklin felt the turkey, although “vain and silly”, was a better choice than the bald eagle, whom he felt was “a coward”
  2. American per capital consumption of turkeys has soared from 8.3 pounds in 1975 to 18.5 pounds in 1997 and has remained stable at about 16 pounds since 2011.
  3. Turkeys are fed a diet of mainly corn and soybean meal along with a supplement of vitamins and minerals. They grow to full maturity in about 4 to 5 months, depending on the desired market weight.

West End Retail Market Brings In Strong International Retailers

(This article appeared first at the Curzon’s October/November Market Update; shared to us by Mr. James Moss of Curzon Property Consultants based in London, UK; one among the “Established Professionals & Trusted Networks” and “International Businesses Board” of ReloNavigator.)

The strong recovery in the commercial property sector continues with increasing yield compression in London and across the UK.

There was a further tightening of City office yields reflecting the future office shortage being predicted by the sector.

The increasing business attraction and lifestyle diversification taking place in the City of  London, is helping the recovery in its commercial sector.

Also the Provincial Offices sector is gradually coming in to their own many years in the wilderness. As ever tenant covenant strength and location remain critical to any investment decision.

2014 Prime Yields London WestEnd

Prime West End retail continues to remain a very hot market and especially attracts luxury international retailers. Since 2012 alone, 67 new international entrants have opened their first store in prime London retail locations.

Importantly the yield spread in the commercial sector vs. gilts is still some way of 2007 levels, indicating potential rental growth and increased return opportunities ahead.
