It is Not an Employer’s or Government’s Choice that You Retire at 65: “It Is My Individual Choice”

By: Jalenn Turre, Marketing, Business & Social Media Strategist

You can retire at any time you like provided you have the means.

In today’s generation,  we have many ‘Entrepreneurs’ who have cracked the ceiling by pursuing faster lanes for retirement-ability than working for whole life, plus they still contribute to the ‘Social Security Program’. On the other hand, there are many hardworking individuals who built their resources successfully. However, many others are worried that they may not be able to retire at appropriate age. At the same time those that are working and will be working must participate in the Social Security Program.

“Who started the idea that one has to retire at 65 or 67 years of age?

This is a concept that was derived from Social Security Law, was created in 1935 that aimed to provide old age, survivors, and disability insurance benefits to workers and their families. When the worker reached 65 years of age, they can begin accessing the so called ‘Social Security Program Benefits’ that they are entitled with.  One must have been contributing certain percent of income since the individual started working, provided such employer has legitimately guiding that individual to pay their social security contribution.

Why not challenge yourself to retire sooner at the age of 55 and then enjoy living with your resources. This is doable Mr. Terrenal said; provided that you will keep self-discipline, self-drive and self-determination in achieving that personal goal.

Retiring from the environment of work is determined by us and not by the employer or the government. Many have achieved that goal, why can’t you.

Social Security is Hard-earned Benefits of Every American Worker Who Contributed Into It

By: Juntee Terrenal, GMS, ▪Competency ▪ Experience ▪ Results

Americans need to understand that the Social Security is funded by every American worker who contributed into it per requirement of the Social Security Law. Every worker who contributed into this fund deserves to receive his or her benefits when it is time to avail it.

The Federal government has the obligation to return all the funds that were drawn from the SS Funds.

Participate in calling the legislators so that they don’t need to touch Social Security.

Must focus their efforts into making the lives of every American better, instead of cutting the Social Security benefits. Take a look at the bottom of this page, about the 2017 benefits increase for 65 millions Americans.

Federal Reserve Increased Interest Rates

By: Juntee Terrenal, GMS, ▪Competency ▪ Experience ▪ Results

Please click on the link ‘Interest Rates Increased by the Federal Reserve’ to read the complete Press Release today, December 14, 2016.

Who will benefit from this ‘quarter interest rates increased’? The lenders, businesses and people with money.

What will happen to the poor Americans? If they borrow money to augment their financial needs, they will suffer with the increased rates.

What is the best strategic tactic that can be done by individuals? Save your money and prioritize your spending habits. Do not get swallowed by the consumer-oriented commercialization. Specially at this time of the year, many will use their credit cards to the maximum.

If one has not saved sufficient for the holidays, the best option is use only what you have; be more disciplined for next year. Do not use that credit card as the new rates will reflect the interest rates that the Federal Reserve has announced. Credit Card issuers will be smiling for your Christmas shopping, unless you will be using hard cash. I only shop with cash.

Happy 28th Anniversary of National Coming Out Day “October 11, 2016”

By Jalenn Turre, Marketing, Business & Social Media Strategist

“October 11th is an annual celebration within the LGBTQ community.

In 2016, we celebrate with everyone the 28 years Anniversary of the National Coming Out Day which was established by the Human Rights Campaign to honor all those individuals who came out as either lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or allied”

“28 years ago, on the anniversary of the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, we first observed National Coming Out Day as a reminder that one of our most basic tools is the power of coming out. One out of every two Americans has someone close to them who is gay or lesbian. For transgender people, that number is only one in 10.

Coming out – whether it is as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or allied – still matters. When people know someone who is LGBTQ, they are far more likely to support equality under the law. Beyond that, our stories can be powerful to each other.” credit source: http://www.hrc.org

About HRC – Human Rights Campaign:

The Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

To learn more about HRC’s programs please visit their website and perhaps there is something that you can do to participate in any of their programs that will expand the basic equal rights of everyone especially the LGBTQs.

“Your families matter to me, and you matter to me,” Clinton said. “I’m going to keep … fighting for you, your rights, your children, your futures. I’m fighting for an America where we don’t leave anyone out. And I am proud to be fighting right alongside you.”
