International Trade Reinforced through Members of World Trade Organization

The WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement, is the first multilateral agreement since the inception of World Trade Organization twenty years ago; this was agreed to at the WTO Ministerial Conference in Bali, Indonesia, in December 2013. Many if not most international businesses will benefit tremendously on this new multilateral trade agreement when it will take effect.

The Agreement Provisions:

  • for expediting the movement, release and clearance of goods, including goods in transit
  • promises major reductions in costs and administrative burdens associated with moving goods across borders
  • The developing countries may see reductions in trade costs of up to fifteen percent
